Document checklist
Having these ready makes your application quicker and stronger. Lenders may ask for more, depending on your business and the funding you need.
Most applications
- Your last two years of filed accounts
- Recent management accounts, if your year end was more than six months ago
- Your last three to six months of business bank statements
- Photo ID and proof of address for each director or partner
- Details of any existing borrowing, such as loans, overdrafts, finance agreements and cash advances
Invoice finance
- An aged debtors and aged creditors report
- A sample of recent sales invoices
Asset finance and asset refinance
- A quote or invoice for the asset
- For refinance, a list of assets you own and their age
Tax and VAT funding
- Your latest HMRC corporation tax or VAT statement
- The payment due date
Acquisition finance
- Heads of terms or the offer letter
- The target business’s last two years of accounts
- Your plan for the business after purchase
Secured lending
- Details of the property or security offered, including any existing mortgage
