Information from services you connect

If you choose to connect your accounting software (Xero), we receive read-only access to your reports and contacts. You can disconnect at any time from your Xero account.

When you search for your company, we use the public register at Companies House to fill in your company details, directors and people with significant control.

Documents you upload are stored securely and used only to assess your funding requirement.

How we use automated analysis

Smart Broker uses automated tools, including artificial intelligence, to read the documents you upload, summarise your financial position, suggest funding routes and indicate which lenders may fit. These results are indicative and help prepare your case. They are not a lending decision: lenders make their own decisions after their own checks, and nothing is sent to a lender until you have confirmed your funding summary and given consent.

How we use your information

We use the information you give us to understand your funding requirement, prepare it for presentation to lenders, and manage the funding process on your behalf.

The technology providers that run Smart Broker include Supabase (secure database and file storage), Vercel (website hosting), Anthropic (the AI service that analyses documents), Xero (only if you connect it) and Resend (email notifications).

We will not sell your personal information to third parties.

Credit reference and fraud prevention checks

Where appropriate, lenders or funders may undertake credit-reference, identity-verification, anti-money-laundering or fraud-prevention checks.

These checks may leave a record with the relevant agency.

Where consent or further notification is required, this will be dealt with during the application process.
